NAME: Sydney Ann Bishop PASS CODE: *********Weird times yesterday... Pixel thought she could be a member of Sonic Five. So she bought a suit and fought as SonicPink. Pink's not a bad color on her, actually. Anyway, when we needed help after being captured, SonicPink was there. I have to admit, if it wasn't for her, who knows what would've happened?
End transmission.
(The labs of Dr. O's long time colleague, Stephanie Saotome. Dr. Saotome escorts Carter and Dr. O through her labs. The corridors and labs are surrounded by caged animals such as ferrets and cats.)
Carter: So what are these used for?
Saotome: Research purposes. (the two look a bit stunned) Don't worry. All our research is animal-safe. Here we simply study the possibilities of man communicating with the animal kingdom.
Dr. O: How so?
Saotome: By judging the vocal patterns through sonic frequency, movement, and ... (loud monkey noise) volume.
Carter: You got that right.
Dr. O: That reminds me. I heard that you have done computer research using chimps?
Saotome: That's right, Watson. Follow me, if you please.
(Carter and Dr. O follow Dr. Saotome into the compter lab, where a mid-sized monkey can be seen writing an e-mail to someone.)
Computer voice: Dear Dr. Edgecombe, [stop] I would like to disprove your theories of cybernetic life. [stop] I do believe that it is possible to create humanlike tissues from certain metallic ores. [stop] Here's how...
(Carter and Dr. O watch as the monkey types in her e-mail.)
Carter: (whispering to Dr. O) This monkey's smarter than he looks.
Dr. O: What's his name?
Saotome: HER name is Misty. (goes over to Misty) Come on, it's time for a break.
Misty: (through her keyboard) "Okay. Who are these?" Saotome: That is my colleague, Dr. Watson Oppenheimer, and his...
Carter: Foster son.
Saotome: Right, his foster son, Carter Knight.
Misty: "Nice to meet you."

Zenos: I say we create a diversion.
Synchron: You are a fool, Zenos. I say that we attack them one by one. That way, we can't lose.
Zenos: Before you say that, think about Posotrox and Axematix.
Arachness: Quiet! I have an idea. The best way to destroy the Sonic Five is to destroy the source of their power.
Argox: What do you suggest, my queen?
Arachness: Get Raybin on communications. As long as I have my... trump card, I will have the edge.
Divit: How do you mean?
Arachness: No one on Earth knows of my plan. And no one knows Raybin is a part of it. Raybin...
Raybin: Yes, Arachness.
Arachness: Perhaps you have a way to distract the Sonic Five while I create the ultimate plan.
Raybin: Actually, I have had an idea or two up my sleeve.

Engineer #1: Excuse me, can you direct us to the computer lab?
Saotome: It's over that way. Are you the communications specialists that we called earlier?
Engineer #2: Yes. Sorry that we're late. We had other business to attend to.
Saotome: Ohh... kayyy...
(Dr. Saotome walks off as the two engineers enter the computer lab. Misty is resting in her corner when she hears the clamor of the two engineers. Fearing the worst, she hides from them. The engineers look all over the place for the wayward monkey.)
Engineer #2: Where the hell is that thing?
Engineer #1: You're asking as if I have dealt with a monkey before.
Engineer #2: I'm just saying that in order for the plan to work, Raybin has to have the monkey!
(Misty overhears this conversation and escapes out of the window into the frigid night.)

SonicBlack: Kyah!
(Kevin launches a flying kick towards Neil's face. Neil ducks out of the way, scales the Holochamber walls, and dashes towards Kevin's feet.)
SonicYellow: Nice try.
SonicBlack: Oh yeah? Watch this!
(They continue fighting, this time, with their SonicSwitcher short swords.)

Pixel: AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
(Her high-pitched scream can be heard from the break room. Sydney turns her head startled. The sound reaches the holochamber, where SonicBlack turns toward the entrance and SonicYellow, while performing a drop kick, falls from the distraction.)
SonicBlack: Sounded like Pixel. Let's go, Neil.
SonicYellow: Man, that girl is ALWAYS in trouble.
(Kevin and Neil take off their helmets and leave them in the Holochamber. They rush toward Pixel's room, where the other three members of Sonic Five are looking in.)
Pixel: Guys... I'll try to say this as bluntly as I can... There's a MONKEY in my suit!
(As Pixel described it, Misty was standing in Pixel's closet wearing her old SonicPink costume.)
Neil: Now I've seen everything.
Pixel: Rob, get it away!
(Rob gets on Pixel's bed as the monkey hops out of the closes to shake Rob's hand.)
Rob: It's nice to meet you, too.
Pixel: Oh, that's it. Rob, unless your short-term goals are to wash your hands...
Rob: I don't think so. Technically, my epidermal layers are incapable of either getting dirty or producing germs so...
(Carter moves in for a closer look.)
Carter: Misty? What are you doing here?
(Becausse she is without her voice-enabled keyboard, Misty is unable to communicate.)
Neil: Carter, I thought you said this was a SMART monkey.
Carter: She is. It's just that she doesn't have her keyboard so I don't know what she's trying to say.
(Misty's gestures suggest fear.)
Kevin: Let me give it a try.
(Kevin joins hands with Misty's. He closes his eyes, trying to adjust to the wavelengths of Misty's brain. He sees the two engineers in the Central Labs computer room.)
She's afraid of something. Two engineers in the computer room of Central Labs. They're... not what they seem.
Rob: Another attack?
Dr. O: I'm afraid so.
(The S-Five team turns around to see Dr. O in the doorway.)
I got a call from Dr. Saotome in the lab. According to her, Misty's escaped.
Carter: I can explain. Misty saw something in the computer labs and escaped. She found her way here.
Dr. O: So where is she now?
Neil: You see SonicPink over there? (points to Misty) That's not Pixel.
(Misty slaps Neil on the head.)
Dr. O: Well, that solves one problem.
Sydney: One?
Dr. O: Yes. Now there's the small matter of numerous computer crashes. I'm sending you to investigate.
Kevin: Sounds like business.
Rob: Let's move.
Sydney: Wait. (takes Misty's hand) Doc, would you?
Dr. O: I was afraid of this. Sure I will.
Rob: Now that everything is taken care of, we better go to the lab.

Carter: Steph? Dr. Saotome?
(Dr. Saotome heads to the entrance to meet the team.)
Dr. Saotome: Thank goodness you're here, Carter. Watson said he was bringing help. Did you find Misty?
Carter: Yeah. She made her way to O Techlabs safely.
Dr. Saotome: Probably best. It's pretty chaotic here.
Rob: What happened?
Dr. Saotome: I don't know! This whole place just began to flicker on and off at about 9:15.
Rob: Something tells me that we have to get to the heart of this problem.
Kevin: Right. (to Dr. Saotome) Where's the computer lab?
(Dr. Saotome leads the Sonic Five to the computer lab. The place continues to flash out of control, except for one computer.)
Rob: That computer is still functional.
Sydney: Let's go check it out.
(The team moves to the computer and notices a message on it.)
SONIC FIVE. I KNOW YOU'RE READING. YOU'RE NEXT. -Argox

Engineer #1: Watson Oppenheimer?
Dr. O: Yes. Are you the engineers that Stephanie sent?
Engineer #2: Yes. We've come for the monkey.
Dr. O: Sure. Let me get her.
(The unsuspecting doctor gives up the monkey, who is playing "Doomship" on the Gamestation.)
Here you go.
Engineer #2: Thank you, doctor.
(Dr. O retreats to his study, while outside, the two engineers lead Misty to Raybin, who has an odd-looking tranquilizer gun.)
Is this her?
Raybin: Yes it is. Now go back to the Earthbase. (two engineers disappear) Now for you.
(Raybin shoots a dart at Misty, who screeches in pain. The screeches turn into fierce roars as she begins to mutate into the Galtoid Primax, a greyish version of King Kong.)
Now you're a smart monkey. Go attack the Sonic Five. Now.
(Still retaining the fear of Misty deep inside, Primax goes back to Central Labs, where the Sonic Five manage to solve the computer problem.)
Neil: That oughta do it (the lights begin to turn back on).
Saotome: Thank you, Neil. Now it's just a matter of reestablishing our network and getting Misty. (hears faint screeching in the background) What was that?
(The group rushes to the window to see Primax shooting balls of radiation from her mouth.)
Carter: I think we found her.
Saotome: What the hell?
Rob: Let me see (runs a scan through his neural net). Looks like Misty was injected with a mutagenic symbiote and Galtoid DNA.
Kevin: Looks like it's Sonic time.
Rob: Wait, Kevin. If that is Misty, then this is most likely a reaction of fear.
Saotome: Rob's right. Monkeys are generally gentle creatures. They only tend to fear what they don't understand. Maybe if I can calm her.
Sydney: If you say so.
(The group moves outside of Central Labs, while trying to dodge radioactive fire. Primax sees the Sonic Five and Dr. Saotome and recognizes them.)
Saotome: Misty! Misty! It's Stephanie... You remember me, right?
(Primax recognizes the voice and begins -- hesitatingly -- to offer her hand.)
That's right. Easy...
(From the corner, a Lexicon with a symbiotic device tries to regain control of Primax. Primax grabs her head and claws Dr. Saotome away, ripping her shirt and exposing a bare and bloody middriff.)
Kevin: I'm sorry, doctor, but we have to destroy him!
Rob: No, we can't! Misty's still in there. We have to tire him until we can think of another way out.
Neil: I know where this is going. Dr. S, you better back up. This is gonna get ugly.
(The five take their stance.)
Rob: Sonic Pentium Charge! Red!
Kevin: Black!
Carter: Blue!
Neil: Yellow!
Sydney: White!
(The five transform and call for their Sonic Switcher swords.)
SonicRed: Android Task Force...
All: SONIC FIVE!
SonicRed: Remember, we don't want to hurt him.
SonicBlack: Well what if he hurts us?
SonicRed: Still try and tire him.
(The five begin to fend off Primax's attacks. The more Primax attacks, the more she weakens.)
SonicYellow: I think she's weak now.
SonicWhite: I'd stay on my toes. She may be charging up for another attack.
SonicRed: She's right. I'd take her with care. Dr. Saotome, get inside.
Saotome: Got it, Rob.
(In frustration, Primax begins shooting her mouth off... literally. The Sonic Rangers roll out of the way.)
SonicBlue: There has to be some way to stop her from blowing her halitosis all over the place!
SonicYellow: I got it! Kevin, the Holochamber!
SonicBlack: (after thinking a while) Hmm... I get ya.
(SonicBlack jumps and is about to give Primax a flying kick.)
SonicRed: What are you doing?
SonicBlack: Trust me.
SonicRed: I will NOT!
SonicYellow: Then trust me!
(SonicBlack is about to hit the monkeyed monster, when he lets up as soon as Primax ducks out of way. SonicYellow then dashes to her feet and trips her.)
If that isn't tiring, I don't know what is.
SonicRed: Good job, guys. Now I've set my Tomahatch to tranquilizer mode. Sonic Tomahatch Finish!
(The red warrior performs a slightly modified version of the finisher. This time, it doesn't destroy Primax, but tranquilizes her long enough for the others to restrain her.)
That should do it. Let's bring her in. Sydney, call Dr. O.

Tourix: The diversion worked. Sonic Five does not suspect a thing.
Arachness: Good. Continue the plan.
Syncotron: It gets better. I have mapped the interior of O Techlabs.
Arachness: Excellent. Now I have the beginnings of my plan to destroy the Sonic Five from the inside out.
----------
Saotome: There. That should do it.
Dr. O: It's a good thing you called me when you did. Another few minutes and the symbiote would have taken a more permanent fix.
Carter: So how long should it take?
Dr. O: Not long. It's starting to work already.
(Primax begins to shrink out of the bindings and back to Misty. No sooner does she go to her computer and say...)
Misty: "Thank you, Sonic Five."
(Everyone laughs. Meanwhile, Rob is secluded in the corner with Pixel.)
Pixel: What'cha thinking about?
Rob: This attack. I mean, it was pretty useless. All we had to do was weaken a giant monkey. I sense something very strange going on...
SONIC V STAND BY...
