[New York City. After a long trip in space, Dr. O and the Sonic Five Team are ready to return to the home that they knew. Rudolph Giuliani can be seen in the foreground as the crowd anxiously await the arrival of Sonic Five to the new Oppenheimer Techlabs. Several members of the crowd are holding up banners saying "Welcome Home Sonic V"]
Crowd (in chant-like fashion): SONIC FIVE! SONIC FIVE! SONIC FIVE!
Officer: They'll be here... Calm down!
Crowd: SONIC FIVE! SONIC FIVE!
[Among the crowd lies a man in a trenchcoat, similar to the one that has been in New York for the past weeks.]
Man (pulling out his paper): "Ramona Brayman." Finally, we will be reunited...
[The man walks off while the crowd is still chanting.]

Raybin: The Horneticons have been strategically placed, right?
Zenos: Yes, human. These are the cocoons that the Sonic Five failed to destroy, and now they are ready to hatch into fierce soldiers called Horneticons.
Raybin: Are they stronger than the Lexicons?
Synchron: Much stronger.
Raybin: When is the first Horneticon scheduled to hatch?
Zenos: As soon as the Sonic Five land.
Raybin: That gives us less than fifteen minutes. We must make our final preparations now...
Zenos: Why bother? Unlike the Lexicons, Horneticons cannot be destroyed.
[Raybin takes a moment to process Zenos' words.]
Raybin: You just bought us some time then. Come on. I have an idea.
[Raybin takes Synchron and Zenos to a backwoods area.]
Synchron: This better be worth my time.
Raybin: Shut up and follow me.

Hutchence: Once again, the crowd is getting pretty restless as we all await the arrival of the Sonic Five from their temporary outpost in space. Dr. Watson Oppenheimer was working with the world's top engineers to create a new state-of-the-art facility to replace the one that has been destroyed earlier this year.

Pixel: What's going on?
[She turns around and finds herself standing in the Concourse area of O Techlabs. There is a tall, hunk-looking Galtoid with a golden vest, jeans, and battle boots. His hair is black, and comes down in a ponytail.]
Who the...?
Galtoid: I am Azritan.
[The second Galtoid is shorter, and black-bodied. He has a more human-style pale tan face, with thick strands of hair erupting from all the corners of his head.]
Galtoid #2: I am Sengu. You are Pixel.
Pixel: Well, I know that much. (more suspiciously) What's going on?
Azritan (circling her): You are one.
Sengu (doing the same, but in the other direction): Soon we shall be as one.
Pixel: As one? Who ARE you?
[The scene changes to be the SuperMacrodroid command room. Pixel is in the lower tier, and the others are on the upper.]
Azritan: We share the bond.
Sengu: You shall be found.
Azritan (stepping down to look directly at her): You shall be released from the false men.
Pixel: The false men? Who?
Azritan: We shall be as one.
[The scene fades. Pixel, back in human form, bolts awake in her seat, sweating.]
Rob: Pix, are you OK?
Pixel: I don't know... I had this weird dream...
Kevin: You're coated with sweat.
[Pixel takes her sweater off to reveal her tank top.]
Pixel: I feel weak...
[Pixel collapses into Rob's arms.]
Rob: We need to get her to the medical bay.

Zenos: The attack positions are set. Now we wait.
Arachness: Amazing. How come you aren't this adept at the Earthbase?
Zenos: Quiet.
Raybin: It's almost time.
[The cocoons collected from around the city begin to crack.]
----------
Pixel (soft moaning): mmmm.
Rob (gently): Pixel?
Pixel (groggily): yeah?
Rob: I got you breakfast. And I brought you Ted.
[Pixel takes her teddy bear and snuggles it.]
Pixel: Thanks. Breakfast, huh? How long have I been asleep?
Rob: The entire length of the trip. About eleven hours. I thought you might like Ted there with you.
[Pixel sits up in her bed and takes the plate.]
Pixel: Toast? Thanks, Rob.
[Pixel tries to hug Rob, but can't manage so she starts eating.]
Mmm. This is good, what did you do?
Rob: Neil found a new use for our Bioblasters.
Neil (OS): Yippie-ky-yo-ky-yay, good buddy!
[Pixel smiles awkwardly and eats the last remaining piece of toast.]
Rob: Wow. You WERE hungry.
Pixel: Thanks a lot, Rob. That was really good.
Rob: So, can you talk? Can you even move?
Pixel: Yeah.
Rob: What was this dream about? Was it erotic or something?
Pixel: No! Not at all. I was speaking to two galtoids. They kept saying that we'd be one at some point. Also something about me leaving the false men.
Rob: False men... do you think he means me and the others?
Pixel: You guys?
Rob: Yeah, think about it. We're not exactly real, right?
Pixel: Human, no; real... sort of. Besides, why would I leave you guys?
Rob: I don't know. I guess we'll find out.
Pixel: I don't want to leave you.
Rob: I know. Same here.
[The two hug. Pixel falls asleep on Rob's shoulder.]

Hutchence: This is it! The Sonic Five have returned to New York City!
[As soon as the O Slider lands, D'angelo, Jackson, and Dr. O are the first to exit. Rob is about to take Pixel and leave the ship, when Sydney stops him.]
Sydney: Wait... There are people out there. Do you think we should transform first? I mean, ten or twelve people knowing who we are, but the public at large?
Rob: Good point.
Carter: Let's jam.
[Rob puts Pixel down for a second.]
Rob: Carter?
Carter: Right. (nods) Sonic Pentium Charge!
[The Sonic Five transform. SonicRed gets Pixel as they continue to exit the O Slider. Eric Hutchence tries to get a word in from the captain.]
Hutchence: SonicRed! SonicRed! The world wants to know how you feel to be back on Earth.
SonicRed: The world... will have to wait. We have an emergency to take care of.
[The Sonic Five fight their way to the front of O Techlabs, where the ceremonial switch is. Dr. O is waiting.]
Jackson: We'll take Pixel to the med bay.
Dr. O: Good.
SonicRed: No. I'm going with her.
D'angelo: Suit yourself, Rob.
SonicRed: Suit... myself? I'm already suited!
D'angelo: Never mind.
[The three take Pixel inside. The rest of Sonic Five talk to Dr. O.]
SonicYellow: I don't believe it. It's the exact same as the OLD Techlabs!
Dr. O: I don't think so. I mean, once we get inside... Let's grab ahold of this thing.
[Cameras go off like crazy as Dr. O, SonicBlue, SonicWhite, SonicYellow, and SonicBlack grab the switch and pull it forward.]
Thank you very much. Unfortunately, we have a situation to deal with. I'll be addressing questions and giving a tour of the new facility tomorrow.
Hutchence: Dr. Oppenheimer, wait!
Dr. O (angrily): I have nothing further! We are in the midst of a crisis!
[Dr. O storms off.]
SonicBlue: What's up with him?
SonicWhite: I don't know... Guys! Look!
[She points over to the space where Horneticons are scattering out of control. One of the Horneticons shoots off a stinger, which hits SonicYellow in the shoulder.]
SonicYellow: That's a mean sting.
SonicBlack: It'll take more than a sting to take us down, right Sonics?
Sonic 4 (posing): Right!
[The Sonics begin to storm the Horneticons with their Sonic Switchers in hand. They take a few slashes out of the horde of bees.]
SonicWhite: Guys! I just remembered! We can't hurt these guys; they're innocent people!
SonicBlack: What?
SonicWhite: People who were stuck in those cocoons began to transform! This is the final product!
SonicYellow: That just changes ALL of the rules, now, does it?
SonicBlack: Fall back until we can cure them!
[The rest of Sonic Five head toward the building, just in time for Robert to make the scene.]
Robert: What the hell?
[Horneticons begins to surround him.]
Galtoids, no doubt. (reaches for Vyzer Charger and holds it in the air) Vyzer Charge!
[Robert transforms into Vyzerman.]
Vyzerman: Okay. If it is trouble you want...
[He unsheaths his sword.]
It is trouble you will receive!
[Vyzerman begins slashing everything in his way. Many of the Horneticons fall prey to his blade.]
How does it feel to be the hunted, Horneticons?
[Several Horneticons are on the ground, bleeding, as they revert to their human selves.]
What? Human? (grunts) No loss to me. I am out of here.
[Vyzerman begins to to walk away, as something inside of him makes him turn around, grab the wounded, and go inside of the Techlabs.]
I have no idea why I am doing this.
[Vyzerman heads for the building, unaware that his fight was broadcast live via satellite to the rest of the world. The trenchcoated man does see this and thinks about it for a while.]
Man: This may work to my advantage. But never mind. I have more important things to do.
[The man goes to the front door as his hand metamorphoses into a suitable candidate for entry.]
Echo: Please place your palm on the scanner.
[The man does so. The scanner reads positive.]
Welcome, Robin Edge.
[The door opens and the man steps inside.]

Rob: I'm glad we managed to move her here so easily.
Dr. O: I'm glad, Rob, but we need to see what the problem is with Pixel. She seems to be unable to use her abilities.
Rob (pulls out a tricorder): It looks like something is supressing them in her body. It seems to be activated by her telepethy.
Dr. O: How?
Rob: I might have a hypothesis. When I was in the Earthbase, I had overheard Zenos refer to something called a Galtean Blood Bond. When he's around his sister, he can't operate at full capacity.
Dr. O: Maybe one of her relatives is close by.
Rob: I doubt it. They'd have to be pretty close. It's very short range, and I don't even know if it works with parents.
Dr. O: Well, she has no brothers or sisters, it has to be something else.
Rob: Perhaps it's a virus.
Dr. O: When could she have been infected?
Echo: There could have been a time-elapsed virus set in her system when she was a Galtean prisoner.
Rob: Maybe, but why would they infect her if they thought she'd stay there?
Dr. O: That would take a lot of genetic engineering, and it would seem to be a waste on someone they had no plans to use.
Rob: Then what is it?
[Neil enters into the room.]
Neil: Doc! Rob! Come quick! There's something you gotta see! I asked Echo to record it.
Dr. O: Neil, what is it?
Neil: Whatever it is, it's bad. Really bad.
[Dr. O and Rob join Neil in getting out of the lab.]

Pixel: ...rb?
Young Man: Ramona Brayman?
Pixel (rather groggy): Huh? Whoozerre?
[The young man gets close to Pixel, his wet style hair beginning to come over his face.]
Pixel: Who are you?
Young Man (finger to her lips): Sssh. I'm not going to hurt you. My name is Nicholas. Azritan sent me to find you.
Pixel: Who??
[Rob arrives at the door, but curiosity stops him from entering or saying something.]
Nicholas: Don't play dumb... I know you know about Azritan. You dreamed about him and me.
Pixel: You're Sengu?
Nicholas: Hardly ever, but when I need to be. I'm here to get you away from the false men.
Pixel: Who ARE these false men?
Nicholas: Ssh! These androids who are holding you prisoner.
Pixel: Prisoner? It's not that way at all? What are you, some kind of crazy vigilante?
Nicholas: No, I'm...
Pixel: You're who?
Nicholas: I'm your brother.
Rob: ... (quietly) A brother...
Pixel (in shock): ...
