Subreality Tales

"If rationality were the criterion of things being allowed to exist, the world would be one giant field of soya beans." - Tom Stoppard

Where reality gives way to imagination, there lies Subreality. Part shared universe, part creative playground for writers -- from its humble beginnings as a Cafe for fanfic characters in-between stories, it has grown into so much more.

Many of these stories feature my Muse, part of an ever-growing subgenre of Subreality.

Writer's Block
Summary: The writer's not the only one who suffers from this dreaded affliction... College holidays, boredom, and plots that went nowhere. Blend until smooth and serve with a Subreality Cafe fanfic on the side. ;)

Tinkle

Is That a Mutant in Your Pocket, or Are You Just Glad to See Me?
Summary: When something goes missing from the Library of Ideas, it's up to the Captain to find it. Sequel to 100% Inspiration.

Goddess of Mono
Summary: Calliope, she of the golden voice, who are you?

Time of Your Life

A Cup of Tea to Tide Me Over

Siren and Nightingale
Summary: An aftermath of the Muse War, as seen by the "victor".

Alternate Universes
Summary: Though words end, sometimes the story continues. (Star Wars)

Lost in the Dark
Summary: The woman that never was, in a world of could-have-beens. Written for Farli's SubReversity challenge, where everything is the opposite of the way they are now.

A Hard Day's Silent Night
Summary: For some of Subreality's denizens, work doesn't stop on Christmas Eve.

The Ripple Effect
Summary: In the wake of the Y2K bug's assault on Subreality, the forces of law and justice attempt to keep order. Unofficial follow-up to Silvanis' "Y2K".

Falling Star
Summary: A figure from the Captain's past reappear in her life, bringing unwanted memories.

Mystery Subreality Theatre 3000:Claire's Confusion

My first MiSTing, starring denizens of Subreality. I got the original writer's permission, too, so don't look at me like that. It doesn't quite fit in with Seraph's concept of MSubT3K, in which Writers are the riffers, but close enough.
