The big question. If I like mc chris, what other artists should I check out? In a recent interview for Everything2.Com, mc chris was asked what music inspires him the most. He sited: Reggie and the Full Effect: you can download some of their music here. Attention Deficit: mc's DJ, John Fewell's band Cee-Lo: a.k.a "Prime Cut" from The Brak Show episode, "Brakstreet: Men In the Band" Ludacris: a pretty famous rapper, I'm sure you've all heard of him Here is some other music that I recommend or have had recommended to me: The Bloodhound Gang: Jimmy Pop once stole my friend's car, but I still like his band, and I love their web site Mindless Self Indulgence: One reporter says they "sound like Atari-game junkies raised on too much speed." See if you can find the homemade video of Pikachu singing "Bitches Love Me." It's worth it. Del tha Funkee Homosapien: Ice Cube's geeky cousin; great lyrics and beat MC Paul Barman: mentioned on mc chris's site as another "nerdcore" rapper. You might want to check him out, but I wasn't too impressed. Dirt Bike Annie: band mentioned in the Pop Punk skit on "Life's A Bitch..." Man Eating Zebra Three really hot guys and one foxy mama who rock it nerdcore style |
