Riffakak'isinversis

• In the realm of consummate politicians, the first name to leap to mind is rarely Drepherian. Leia Organa Solo, Emperor Palpatine, and the late Borsk Fey'lya all are remembered for their gift with words and their abilities within a system of government. But when the need for a Justice of the Peace arises, Senator Riffakak'isinversis usually heads that list.
• The Drepheri believe in seeing every part of an argument, even the views of the opposition. This quality makes excellent administrators, organizeers, and judicators out of the perceptive Drepheri populace, and when they joined the Rebel Alliance they gave it governmental stability and logistical streamlining. Kak'isin, as he is called in Basic, works on the highest levels of the Republic government, as a Rebel Senator and a member of the Provisional Council and his skills are put to use in the fields of debate and treaty negotiation with potential Alliance supporters.
• As the majority speaker for the nonhumans within the Senate, Senator Kak'isin uses his power to defeat the Imperial system of justice. He previously lent his intellect to matters of Imperial law that affect Rebel agents on trial, and his experience as a Drepheri lawyer helped him foil stacked trials and biased juries time and time again. It is rumored that several officers of the Alliance military 'owe him one' for getting them out of Imperial sentences of execution.
• The Senator currently has a motion going in the Senate to sequester the Jedi on the Academy planet of Dantooine. He is criticized as having a bias against them, when in actuality he is more concerned with the possible repercussions they may cause among the diverse species in the Republic through incautious or improper use of their power. Major Grortet Fawkes is assisting his efforts, although the Major does not share Kak'isin's concerns over the Jedi.
• Kak'isin is 49 standard years old. Born from a green-scaled scientist father and gold-scaled politician mother, Kak'isin's scales are a lustrous green-gold combination. When at his full height, Kak'isin is a good three meters tall, although two meters of that comes from the extendable neck that is characteristic of the Drepheri. Kak'isin's tail is also two meters and he has never had to regenerate it. For his species, the Senator is strong and handsome, and his reptilian body shows signs of muscle. Compared to the strength of a Wookiee, however, Kak'isin is severely outmatched and must resort to the Drepheri fighting style, which he has limited training in. The Senator has black eyes with slitted pupils and an extended muzzle that holds two venomous fangs and clawed feet, although the rest of his body is smooth.
• Kak'isin views himself as extremely fair-minded (which he is) and is quite egotistical about it. He will not hesitate to downplay the importance of others if they question his status, but he is cordial to those who recognize him as more able than they, or at least an equal. He pursues goals with single-mindedness and focus, refusing to give up until he is victorious or blocked. Like most snakes, however, Kak'isin will often strike the hardest when trapped in a corner.
• Kak'isin wants to see the Empire come down just as much as he wants to see the New Republic emerge again from the Alliance. And he wants to see the Jedi put in a proper, more fitting role for the galaxy than that of self-appointed guardians.
