A long time ago, a poor innocent guy named Matt found the deadly addiction of MUDding, playing on KallistiMUD. Unfortunately, that MUD closed and he was forced to make the difficult search for a new place to play. Matt stumbled upon RoninMUD. The search for MUD's since then has been fruitless and so he remained faithfully with the friendly people and amazingly well done code of Ronin. Shortly after discovering Ronin he convinced other townies to join in and enjoy the wonderful art of MUDding. He headed up a clan known as [ChAoS CoRpS] that consisted of players around Corvallis that are no longer with us (R.I.P.). However, after a while they merged with another clan of similar experience with players from Waterville, Maine, to create !*TiLt*! (and we've forgotten the colors, but I remember them being pretty ugly). The distance of 3000 miles between members of the clan and a few members leaving or returning created some problems and a terrible war erupted. When the dust settled two new clans emerged from the darkness. Corvallis had created @vErTiGo@ and Waterville had made *=-CrimZonTearZ-=*. These clans lasted just about as long for reasons beyond comprehension and left most people clanless. Since then Corvallis MUDders have decided to try and focus within themselves and avoid connections with
outsiders because of the turmoil it causes. With this in mind Matt, Charles, and Kevin formed *W*O*M*P*A* (an even worse name) that dissolved
within a week. The latest attempt at a formal clan is {Blood Moon}, headed by Kevin and Charles with an honorary Corvallis resident member, John from Canada. Matt has yet to join this group, but perhaps his place is in solitude. Without further ado, the information!...
Why Corvallis?
Well, most of us went to middle school and high school here, so that's a pretty big factor. But as a number of the LV people that visited over Memorial Day 1999 can attest to, nothing can top the Timberhill Shopping Center and the 24 hour WinCo foods! And hopefully coming soon will be some pictures of Matt and Kevin skiing.

Matt's god Feroz can take credit for the Midgaard Zoo, easily the most popular area in the entire MUD for newbies as well as the Holiday Quest Series, from which a few prizes are still floating around. He also used run tons of little quests, but hasn't done much of anything lately. On the mortal level, Matt has had some of the oddest multis on the MUD; his creativity levels soar above of that of many known genii and inventors. Rasputin is the biggest (and only) bard tank on the MUD having tanked plenty of mobs with his over 550 natural hit points. Unfortunately, just like his god, Matt's mortals are rarely seen on Ronin. And when he does play, he's forgotten where almost all of the areas and what the commands are, but we'll forgive him since he's such an old man.
Matt goes to Tufts University in Medford/Sommerville, MA where he hasn't quite decided on a major yet. He likes to write papers and plans on avoiding any major that forces him to take math or science classes. He spends his time playing pool, hanging out with friends, and pimpin' hoes (he wishes). He also buys electronic equipment without having to play the sales tax (think bigger, Kevin!) and gets frequent flyer miles for it on his Visa Card. His MUDding is rare and sporadic, but he always trys to log in now and again to chat with old friends from across the world.

Kevin's tireless MUDding has subsided drastically in the last year, he's become more involved with the important things in life: pursuing women, and school on the side. His urge to MUD has been slightly rekindled by the bitchin' addition of an autoquest system. Although the three musketeers of Feroz, Juke, and Hethra are no longer linked under one clan name, they work together whenever logged on. Juke's multi has expanded incredibly to the point where Fuse rivals any tank on the MUD with his 1000+ natural hitpoints.
Currently Kevin is enrolled at Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA and spends his time buying groceries for people since he doesn't have to pay sales tax, and going to really great parties at the Haven. He also has no clue whatsoever as to what he will major in, but he's taking psychology, math, and science courses, and plans to avoid anything that means writing papers.
Kevin's addiction to creating new players has never really died, he has made numerous mages, and other useless classes, so plentiful that it's impossible to list them all. The important 4 are still thriving however, and Kevin plans to remain one of the more powerful MUDders still trudging around Ronin's massive world.

Charles is a steadfast MUDder and lends his hand whenever needed. He has Buffy, his nomad, the stinkiest tank in the clan, who almost always dies when we pop gear together. When he uses his normal multi, he uses a ninja tank and a paladin hitter which means he hits very hard. Gandolf is a valuable member of the clan, allowing us to get into the abyss and pop our own abyss gear.
Everything you just read is horribly outdated and you should ignore it. Charles is a lazy bastard and has yet to send Feroz any information not outdated by 3 years.

Coming soon to Corvallis: Phil Gillihan!
Phil and his beautiful wife-to-be Rita are moving to Corvallis this summer so Rita can attend OSU. Expect Phil to be formally brainwashed by the cult sometime during the summer as well! Er, did I say brainwashed? I meant we'll probably take him out to lunch and show him around the city.
Phil is creator of some of the most original and creative areas on the MUD, including Vermillion's Tower, Cavern of Lost Souls, and Tarion City. When morting, he usually plays his warrior Crimson, solo, although in the past, his multi was one of the largest on the MUD.

Our Accomplishments in the MUD
The following is a list of mobs that the Corvallis MUDders have done without help from any outsiders. However, the list of mobs that they have assisted in killing vastly exceeds this short composition. Perhaps sometime in the future we will be able to kill all of the most powerful mobs around the MUD.

If you want to join the elite Corvallis MUDders, there are a few special requirements: 1) You must live in Corvallis, OR or be given the official title of honorary Corvallis resident by the current members. 2) You must have a multi of characters (or a high quality solo character) over level 30. 3) You have to serve a useful purpose. 4) You have to win a quest of some kind to show that you actually know something. 5) You have to name at least 20 of Juke's present and former characters *cringe*.
