The Mind of Mulder...

Mulder talked and Scully listened. That was how it always started; with him pouring out his fears and worries. He told her of a prophetic dream he kept having. He and Scully were diving in deep water. They were searching for something they had yet to find but it felt like danger was right at their heels.

Worse yet, Mulder continued to be plagued by worries about his parentage. In his heart, he knew Bill Mulder was his father. But that smoking bastard had said just the right things to make him question his beliefs and memories. Mulder had been in such a state, at one point he'd asked his mother some sensitive questions which had earned him a slap in the face.
