Tessa was born in Nova Vaasa to werefox parents, so her lycanthropy is by birth, not from a curse or disease. She began picking up thieving skills when she was 12 and set out adventuring when she was 15. It was a year later when she hooked up with her current adventuring party, which consists of herself, Hilda, Lenard, Kip, and Bob. Hilda, originally from Krynn, is a dwarven cleric of Reorx who has become a vampire. Lenard is an elf pirate from Faerun who is slowly turning into an imp. Kip is a sprite thief and is also from the Realms. Bob (short for "Kate") is a mage from the Realms and is the only member of the party who has not been corrupted by Ravenloft in some way, shape, or form. Tessa has 30% of her soul owned by Strahd, 30% owned by Artax the Destroyer, and she holds a controlling interest with the remaining 40%. Tessa, however, takes her curses in stride and tries to make friends with (or torment) as many people as she can. She has even made friends with Robert , the mimic in Lord Soth's throne room. She promised to return and feed her new pal whenever she could.
