Some call this figure the "holy grail" (or how about the "Lost Ark") of Indiana Jones toy collecting. Less than 10 are rumored to exist. In fact, if you happen to own one or know somebody who does, please email me as I would like to approximate the number floating around out there. This is definitely the rarest Indiana Jones carded figure and perhaps one of the rarest carded production figures of all time! I have also "heard" (not confirmed) that a carded salesman sample made from a bubble hand glued onto a proof card exist. The figure pictured is not a salesman sample but an actual production figure.

What about fakes? It's possible that they're out there. The best way to know that it's not a fake is to trust the source where the figure came from. Mine came directly from a former Kenner employee and friend so I have no question about it's authenticity.
