The Broca Divide Episode

While technically Daniel is okay for most of this episode, with Jack being the one most affected (maybe he has more animal instincts in him <wink>) and Sam also being affected, it wouldn't be a Stargate episode if Daniel didn't 'sprain his ankle' somewhere along the line ;-D

Daniel is confronted by a 'possessed' Jack who promptly challenges the anthropologist over his concern for Sam. When Daniel hears that Sam attacked Jack because she was influenced by the strange illness affecting everyone on Base, he expresses his concern.  Jack tells him she's not 'his' to be concerned about and ..*gasps* ....  then he beats him up!

He then takes himself off to the infirmary and learns that he is apparently immuned to the illness.  Teal'c (helpfully) suggests that perhaps Daniel will show symptoms - later.  This is greeted with a half- hearted 'thank you Teal'c' from Daniel, none too impressed that Teal'c suggested this!

However, when he goes with Teal'c to the Land of the Light he is captured and beaten up (well look at the state of his clothing, he's been attacked by someone and it wasn't a rabid   DANIELite either.. !!) While away the Doc realises that it's the anti-histamines that kept the illness at bay in her and Daniel.  She fixes everyone else on base then sends Jack and team through to find Daniel and inject him with the anti-histamines.

Before stepping through the gate on earth, Sam looks at Jack and asks him if he thinks Daniel is still alive... so there we have it.. the FIRST incident when Daniel is thought of as possibly being .. dead! 

When they arrive through the gate, Jack takes one look at the feral Daniel and quips, "Daniel, you dog. Keep this up and you'll have a girl on every planet!"    Somehow, Sam doesn't see the funny side and promptly shoots Daniel with the tranq dart. 

Teal'c carries him to the Land of Light people and plonks him down in the "circle", until he can recover.  Daniel sits up, a little shakily and a lot tousled and we get to see that he's going to be alright.. again :)
