Jack has returned to Abydos to see if the Ra "lookalike" came from there.  We meet up with Daniel Jackson again,  who has spent one earth year on this new world with his beloved wife Sha're. 

In this episode, we see how Jack's appearance unsettles Sha're enough so that she plants the BEST kiss (in the history of TV) on Daniel so that he'll know *what* it is he's got to come home to that evening after he's been with Jack and Company for the day.

Unfortunately, while Daniel is off showing Jack and company the Cartouches he's found, Apophis comes through the newly opened gate (Okay, let me just say this here.. HOW did that tissue box get through the closed gate?? and IF it was open for Daniel to run tests of the cartouches he found.. then WHY did he blame himself for Apophis's attack, saying "I should have left the gate covered" (words to that effect??).  Okay that's my belly-ache for the moment.. on with it ..)

So Apophis comes and kills Daniel's family and friends and steals away his wife and brother-in-law.  Man, is he ever gonna get the attack of the guilts over this incident....

So begins Daniel Jackson's return to earth to search through the Universe for his beloved wife...........  which leads onto lots of other heart breaking incidents also.... not to mention a few close calls with Sha're where she's within a fingers touch.. but still manages to slip away from his grasp... :-(
