VERY GOOD.
A very good story, with an absolute ton of violence. Yes, indeed, there is some graphic violence here.
The story of what happened on Mars started off very well, but tapered into a very ordinary "save humanity" piece. The first half is so epic that you cannot help but be disappointed by this finish. The revelation could have been better thought out. Instead of a race of creators, make it one single creator. Which would also explain his need for a race of slaves.
Also, the creators are much too aware of us. It would have been, I feel, much more suitable if they didn't feel compassion for us. Such worthlessness would have been perfect for the tone of the story.
Still, this is a great read for the character-work. A special highlight is the contrasting of Anderson and Orlok. Anderson has become a very interesting character. The whole registration bit comes across as very sincere. It reads like top-notch soul-searching.
