Half-Breed Templates
I really, really, like the half-breed templates offered in 3rd Ed, makes for a lot of customization, however, it's my personal opinion that these classes don't match up with each other very well - especially the Half-Fiend and Half-Celestial: the Half-Celestial obviously got the better end of the deal. The only thing I can think of for this is that WotC is biased towards good critters. So, I've evened them out a bit and made a few modifications to the Half-Dragon as well.

Half-Elemental, Half-Gholam, and other Half-Breeds may show up on this page at some point in the future after I've had a chance to nitpick them apart, too.

Half-Fiend [ECL: +3]

The following changes apply to the Half-Fiend template:

Speed: There is a 75% chance that a Half-Fiend has wings. The creature can fly at twice the base creatures normal speed with good maneuverability.

Special Qualities: A Half-Fiend has all the special qualities of the base creature, plus darkvision with a range of 60 ft. Half-Fiends are immune to cold, fire, and electricity, and have acid resistance 20. In addition, they have a +4 racial bonus to saves vs poison or disease.

Abilities: Increase from the base creature as follows: +4 STR, +2 DEX, +4 CON, +4 INT, +2 WIS, +2 CHA.

Alignment: Half-Fiends are limited to one of the following alignments: Neutral Evil, True Neutral, Chaotic Evil, Chaotic Neutral, Lawful Evil, or Lawful Neutral. A Half-Fiend that changes to a 'Good' alignment becomes a Half-Celestial and stats/inate spells/immunities/etc change accordingly.

Anything not addressed above remains unchanged.
Half-Celestial [ECL: +3]

Half-Dragon [ECL: +3]

The following changes apply to the Half-Dragon template:

Speed: Half-Dragons have wings, regardless of size, and can fly at the same speed and maneuverability as a wyrmling of their parent dragon type.

Anything not addressed above remains unchanged.

Note: Any additional dragon type not listed in the Monster Manual can be allowed, but stats and special abilities will be handled on a case by case basis.
