2367 - Keiko Ishikawa married Miles Edward O'Brien.
The marriage was preformed by Captain Jean-Luc Picard,
and being a close friend of The bride, Lieutanant
Commander Data played the role of the bride's father.
2368 - Keiko and Miles O'Brien has a baby named Molley.
Molley was born in Ten-Forward during a shipwide
systems failure, and was actually delivered by
at that time Lieutanant Worf.
2369 - Keiko, along with Captain Picard, Ensign Ro, and Guinan were
briefly reduced to children after passing through
a strange energy field.
When her husbnad was assigned to Deep Space Nine as Chief
Operations Officer, Keiko reluctantly joined him.
She also went to Earth for her mother's 100th birthday.
23?? - While on Deep space Nine, she's met quite a few challanges:
She started a school for all the children. This was a
problem for Nog, whose uncle only wanted to teach the boy
Ferengi teachings. This also caused a problem later on
when Bajoran fundamentalist religious leaders accuse her
of blasphemy. She is even taken over by an alien entity
at one point, and the entity forces Miles to do it's
bidding. Keiko remains the supportive wife and mother.
She is certainly a very different from take-charge career
women like Major Kira and Jadzia Dax. Although Keiko's life
is less colorful than that of Dax and Kira, she is no less
important. She is a wife and mother, roles that neither Dax
nor Kira have at this time. Clearly Keiko wants to be more
than wife and mother and it seems that, for now, being a
teacher fulfills her need to feel that she has a useful
role at the station.
