UNDER CONSTRUCTION Without a doubt I thought Baron Friedrich von Glower was one of the best characters in Gabriel Knight II. You have to question his motives and wonder: was he a villain or a victim? In my opinion he was definately a victim, but that doesn't mean he wasn't bad. You could think of him as misunderstoodl... He was turned into a werewolf against his will becuase his father was a werewolf. He simply tried to make the best of his terrible situation by turning others to werewolves for companionship. But it appears sometimes he did enjoy his form; such is hinted in his note to Gabriel. Also von Glower let Baron von Zell go on a rampage killing children and innocent people. And an excellent point was brought up by Shirley Bacon on her Baron von Glower page what were his motives for conincing Gabriel to kill von Zell? Did he do it becuase he knew Von Zell was evil and was hurting people, or did he do it to protect himself? I think he did it becuase he knew von Zell was truly evil and the transformation had warped him. It's possible that Baron Von Glower was trying to save himself from being discovered as an ulterior motive, but mainly he didn't really want to hurt anybody. Von Glower wasn't truly evil he was just trying to make the best of a terrible situation. I don't think von Glower would have been nearly as convincing if he hadn't been played to perfection by Peter Lucas, whose real name is Piotrek Andrzejewski. He did an exceptional job in this and some of his other films he's been in. Piotrek is a very nice person and I invite you to drop him a line and tell him what a great job he did!
