The music swells and you feel a strange tingling on the back of your neck, the small hairs on your arms stand up. You feel the presence of other earthly powers. You look around and you spy a fairey. She is just sitting there and not paying a bit of attention to you. You want to speak to her but you feel shy and a little afraid. She is so beautiful even with her wings and ears. She is different than you but a being of wonderous beauty. You finally have the courage to speak to her.
You say "hello" your voice quakes and breaks like some little teen-ager. She smiles and flits to another flower. This is a very strange experience indeed. All of sudden you realize when you thought you saw a hummingbird or a butterfly it wasn't at all but a fairey. What a strange realization. You feel that meeting this wonderful being is not a new experience but something you have experienced many times.

This Painting is called "Burgandy Fairey" by Amy Brown
She smiles at you but does not let you get too close for humans have proved themselves quite unreliable in the past. She after all is a tiny being and you must look like a giant to her.
She flits from flower to flower in time to the music and you wish she would just sit and talk to you for a while as there are so many things you would like to ask her about this world. For instance why is it that time seems to stand still here. Is it true that if you spend time here hundreds of years may pass before you return to your own world and it all seems like you only have been gone for minuites.
You hear her answer but not in words but quietly in your mind. She tells you she will show you her world and answer all your questions. You don't feel afraid anymore only curious.
