Stone Corridor
Episode one.
The stadium rocked from the sound of fifty thousand fans screaming. The concert was about to begin, and they could hardly hold in there exitement. They chanted, moved, and breathed in a whole, one large mass acting as one. It was fifteen minutes to showtime and they could not wait. Behind the stage the band known as STONE CORRIDOR is being interviewed by a local radio station. The room they are in is sound proof but the fans that are patiently waiting for them can be heard never the less.
“So, your four number one hit singles from your debut album have caused quite a stir in the industry. How does this make you feel?”
Scorch, also known as Johnathon Ashman, the keyboard player and co-vocalist of the band was the first to speak up. “Well obviously its a rush, I’d be lying to you if I said I wasn’t. However, we have to take this new found stardom, put it into perspective and try not to let it interfere with our original goal”
“Well said.” Commented the interviewer. “Tell me Rain, by many you are considered to be the primary rolemodel to young women. Do you find this to be the case?”
Aaron Laylan the woman known as Rain considered then answered. “Well even though i’m just the drummer I do have a pressence in the band and I guess that I do seem to inspire some people and that does make me happy.”
“Can I add something to that?”Cyan Resse jumped in. “The three of us are all diverse and each have been accepted by different groups of fans. Scorch for example has been accepted as the angst ridden GenX grunge guy. Rain is the nice cute barbie like girl that no body can hate, and myself Palisade, am the weird gothic femme fatale guitar playing vocallist.”
The interviewer added. “Almost like the Spice-.”
“Dont go there.” Interupted Scorch.
The interview continued for several minutes before the interviewer packed up, letting the band get in thier final prepairations for the show. Five minutes before show time the three were in a waiting room alone trying to compose themselves for the impending concert. Suddenly there was a knock at the door, Scorch answered it and began to stare strangly at the figure. The figure was tall and very skinny, wearing a brown trenchcoat that barely hung from his bony carcase. The figure lifted his head to reveal a cold pale corpse like face. The figure then spoke, almost singing.
“You may have it good but I know your secret. You arent normal, not normal, not normal.”
The three staired at the strange interloper for a moment before it reached a hand out toward them. On the top of the hand was a strange metal blade. The blade began to hum and glow. Scorch entered a defensive possition and began uttering threats.
“I dont know or care who you are but I wouldn’t do that.”
The blade grew brighter and scorch chose his course of actions. Scorch thrust his fist out and an intense burst of flame shot toward the strange man. The man staggered back with the blast was seemed to be unharmed. The blade grew even brighter and shot out a beam of its own, hitting scortch and sending him through a wall.
Rain then leaped into action grabbing her drumsticks, she leaped in front of the strange intruder. She pointed the sticks at the man and focussed, a forceful blast of water, channlled through the sticks raced toward him sending him flying. She then made the water hold him up in the air. It was now Palisade’s turn, she ran toward him and jumped. She did a spin kick through the air and planted her hell and sent all her super strenth into the mans face. The force sent the man fliping through the column of water holding him.
Rain released him and he fell to his knees. Scorch got up, brushed himself off and walked up to the kneeling man.
“That blast I gave you was only meant to stun you, now im gonna give you a LOT more.”
“No need,” said the man “I have all the information that I need..for now, we will meet again.” The man then dissapeard leaving the three stairing at the floor confused.
“Well that was interesting.” Stated scorch. He interupted by Rain.
“Ya well we dont have time to debate it because our show just started.” The three then hurried and got ready to go, within a minute they were on stage, greeted by fifty thousand people yelling their name. Scorch walked up to the mike and said.
“Hello i’m Scorch, we are Stone Corridor, thanks for coming.’
The crowd went wild.
