The letter this story is based on is dated September 14, 1985 ( the year is topical in relation to the date the comic is printed ), but occurs shortly before or directly after the Crisis on Infinite Earths, approximately Seven Years Ago.

Comments: This story is based on the story from Adventure Comics #48 by Ken Fitch and Bernard Baily. It is retold with minor differing details in Sandman Mystery Theatre #..-...
