Armagh Ireland, Brigid the Protector is dircting the flow of all the people, who arrived
in Armagh to see Father Patricius and/or celebrate Beltaine. She is adressed by a clumsy man
carrying scrolls, because he drops a few now and again, people fall over them, and one such
man drops a bucket of water because of this. Right on top of Queen Guinevere, who is
understandably mad. Brigid drops him of at one of the guesthouses, after she leaves, the man
hit a bag, and its contents fall out, he finds something remarkable.
Meanwhile, Father Patricius invites Guinevere, who is rinsing her clothes out, into the Church.
They talk about old times, about Arthur. While they are walking Father Patricius is attacked
by men in robes, they are stopped by Guinevere, who pursuits them and gets help from Brigid.
The leader escapes, and Guinevere and Brigid start accusing each other about that. They each go
their own way, both thinking they are right. At twilight the ceremony of the Beltaine Fires
begins, no fire may be lit before the King's Fire is lit, then a priest notices a light in
the camp of Father Patricius, Brigid, sets out to find out what is going on, but on her way to
the camp, she is confronted by the assasins from that morning, the leader tells her that they are
there to kill Father Patricius, because of what will happen if he lives, he shows Brigid
pictures from the future, pictures from IRA bombings. Brigid is the Protector of Ireland,
and because of this she feels compelled to see that no harm comes to Ireland. She agrees to help.
