Powers: Super speed (gained as a result of being treated for a cobra bite by mongoose blood.

Robert Frank was a Golden age hero and a member of the Invaders. A Cobra bit him on holiday in his youth; a mongoose attacked the cobra but was killed by it. In desperation Robert's father took the blood of the mongoose and injected it into Robert, this healed him and, when it reacted with Robert's own blood it gave him the power to move at super-human speed. After the war Robert worked as a guard at a nuclear power plant and was exposed to radiation. The similarities between the Whizzer and Quicksilver suggested that he was the biological father to the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. However this was proved false in "Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch" limited series and it was in this series that Robert died in grief at the news that his second child was stillborn and his wife had died giving birth.
