Orcron is a steaming hot boiling sulfur sea. the plant is highly volatile and has a great deal of volcanic
activity.  Only small settlements are planetfall while most of the cities are great floating platforms in the sky high above the danger of the volcanoes.  So much volcanic activity goes on that the planet is very cloudy up to about 25,000 to 35,000 feet. The great Floating platform cities are  at around 38,000 to 40,000 foot altitude.  The sulfuric atmosphere requires the use of vacc suits and pressurized vehicles.  What would make such a massive population live here is the molten recovery industry.  the lava of this world is found to be rich with gold, silver and platinum planetside are huge refineries that process and skim the lava flows for these precious metals.  It is somewhat dangerous work involving the dropping of large skimming platforms and harvesting lava flows.  Grav vehicles with elaborate sensor equipment search and collect samples then larger Grav. vehicles drop off skimming stations over the top of these lava flows which begin processing and extracting the precious metals.  This lucrative business was originally started by corporations this led to company wars and employee takeovers. What was once many companies is now one world corporation led by a employee rebel leader who is now their non-charismatic dictator.  This ruler is called the "Processor General" of Orcron and his name is
"Hector Volamides".  Once the rebellions were over he formed an elite group of enforcers and disarmed the masses.
