Gamber
began as a trading station and stores warehouse
for supplies for Belters and The Merchants who
traded with them. Most of the asteroid belt
has been played out and what remains is a pretty
sizable Startown. The planet of Gamber is
cold and rocky the Starport has fallen into a
shambles now that most of the mining has gone
elsewhere. Gambers very own government
bureaucracy has had allot to do with the planets
fall to a third rate world over regulation and
too many permits chased away most of the
business. Currently Gamber is a relay point
to better places beyond and a vital tending
station for x-boats.
Gamber still receives trade into the region by
small free traders and marginers but many of the
Larger corporations only use this as a refueling
point or pass it all together.
Gamber still has mining on a very low scale and
the planet has been able to supply some of the
sobrinium crystal demand to keep those who still
live here in search of the motherlode and boom
town days again.
