Beast: Who's to Blame
Henry McCoy was always big boned, literally. Born with his mutant power manifested,
giving him ape-like build, agility, grip, and strength (the fur came later).
Without knowing he was a mutant he scholarshipped in football and became a scientist.
Being recruited by Charles Xavier for his first incarnation of the X-Men, Hank
was introduced to a life of hatred and bigotry. When his refugee life finally
got to him, he used his genetic knowledge to try to put his mutancy into remission,
but inadvertinately accellerated it. Growing blue fur all over his body, as
well as his own self pity McCoy has been left in further exile from the rest
of humanity. Though with the help of his friends he has overcome much of his
self-inflicted torment (and with the help of an image inducer for public use).
He is left with the thought that he has no one to blame but himself.
