Realization

I woke up this morning, and much to my dismay, discovered children playing war games, in my world. It is said, that a Master must first Master himself, once he does, he finds himself more able to appreciate the good things, and let pass the little nuisance's along the way. It is a shame the many "Masters" on Gor never grew up to learn this. Like children at play, they would rather play their "war" games, so afraid of others that they run and hide behind closed doors and blind themselves to others. Perhaps, the most tragic of all, is that the new arrivals, follow these "Masters" blindly in the desire to belong, and to become children in the game of follow the leader.

Gor has a stench to it now, the smell of hipocracy is everywhere. You may laugh and deride the "player" in the BDSM channels, but I admire the fact that they freely admit to playing, rather than hide behind the veil of deceit. One cannot hide childishness behind the false shield of honour.

There are few left on Gor, who even know, much less practice honour, and to those few, I salute you. Rumors have it, that it's the end of paradise, somehow it now seems so true. I will find my way home, as for Gor, will the last man out (and there are a few left) please turn out the light and close the door...

Tal Brother, I wanted to let you know that I really enjoy the work you are doing. The paper really is well done. I has been a great resource to me, a relative newcomer to Gor. I have been on Gor less than a year, but I already have seen many come and go. It has been my pleasure to meet Men of great Honor and slaves of extraordinary grace and beauty. As you are aware, there are many who are otherwise. You might not recall, but I have encountered you several times in these last months. I am of the caste of poets and singers. I plan on being a part of the Gorean community for a very long time. It would like to submit an occassional writing. There are some things that I believe need to be said. I guess the concern I have is that the ones that need to read them are not the ones that would likely read this paper. Would it be too much to ask that you respond in eMail with some idea of how many readers you have? I realize that data would be pretty vague. I am also, thinking that newbies showing an interest in really coming to grips with the Gorean philosophy might be pointed to the paper as a learning guide by those of us that have a bit more experiance here. Just some thoughts,

Strummer
