ALBUM:DIARY OF A MADMAN
ARTIST:OZZY OSBOURNE
YEAR OF RELEASE:1982
RATING:****
Ozzy's masterpiece. Diary is excellent all the way through, unlike the good but rather uneven debut. Guiatar virtuoso Randy Rhoads is in top form(on what was to sadly be his last album), Ozzy's voice is in top shape, and the remaining members provide great backing for them. This album enhanced Ozzy's reputation as a solo artist, and produced concert staples, "Over the Mountain" and "Flying High Again". A must for fans of classical guitar, and highly recommended for any metal collection. Highlights include "Flying High Again", "Little Dolls", and the epic title track.
