Witch-Haunted Arkham

Through the witch-haunted streets of Arkham town
Misshapen shadows gibber in the night.
Here, in madness, one might easily drown
Where often sanity has taken flight.
The old witches' ashes might now lie cold
But sweet revenge burns hotter than a flame
The story is not over until told,
Each person in Arkham must share the blame.

Arkham's future, "old Mattie Stiles" did curse.
She laughed at them while hot flames licked her face.
...And no one could determine which was worse,
The burning stench or laughter, out of place.
Upon her death the town began to die
While night-gaunts slowly circled in the sky.
