New power metal from Germany, Vain Glory Opera is only Edguy's second official release, and they've already shown considerable talent, a vast step forward from their debut. Lots of what makes power metal great:fast, well played songs and big choruses. Vocals are more mid-range end emotional than a lot of similar bands, making them preferable to several other bands(such as Stratovarius and Labyrinth.) As an added bonus, Blind Guardian's Hansi Kursch and Straovarius' Timo Tolkki both make guest appearances, lending an additional touch of class to the album. Album is highlighted by the title track, "How Many Miles", and "Out of Control".
