Marissa Morales was not one of the original members
  of the BodsquadTM, but was a close friend and 
  confidant of the others. When her brother Hector
  was murdered by DeathlightTM, she convinced Sindi
  ( see NosferataTM ) to use resources at her disposal
  to grant Marissa paranormal abilities.

  Prior to her transformation, Marissa had been a
  competent martial artist, practicing karate and judo.
  She now also possesses the following powers:

  1. Flight; unlike her teammates, Marissa actually
  transforms her cape into wings.

  2. The ability to shape and transform any matter
  within a ten foot radius.She often uses this power
  to create a variety of weapons, but has also done
  things such as make a stone wall form hands to 
  batter a foe, or liquifying the ground beneath an
  enemy's feet.

  She seems to be slightly schizophrenic; Marissa is
  fairly gentle and soft-spoken, but as Nightshrike she
  tends to become a cold, dark avenger of the night.
  The bird she takes her name from, the shrike, is
  known for impaling its prey...

  Marissa has a very strong crush on one of her 
  teammates, but that's something that, for now,
  she's keeping to herself. Only time will tell if she ever
  admits her feelings, and how her friend will react.
