Choosing Spells
Knights of Legend used the Great Net Book of Spells. However, since Knights doesn't have a level 0, all spells are shifted one level up. Therefore, level 0 Cantrips are actually level 1 spells, level 1 D&D spells are level 2 in Knights, etc. Also, all damages listed are doubled. Area of effect, duration, casting time, saving throws, etc. are all the same. Casting times which list a number only means the number of actions it takes. Other spells are described with an appropriate label (rounds, minutes, hours, etc). A 'round' is 6 seconds, a 'turn' is a minute. Also, each time a saving throw mentions it is at a minus (-1, -3, etc.), multiply that number by 5. Therefore, a -2 to a saving throw would actually be a -10. Each spell chosen permanently reduces the characters Max SP by the spells level x 10. Therefore, a level 4 character with 135 SP who chooses two level 1 spells (10 points each), one level 3 spell (30 points) and one level 4 spell (40 points) has his Max SP permanently lowered by 90 to 45. Each time a spell is cast, the character temporarily loses a number of Spell Points (SP) equal to the spells level. For example, if the preceding character casts his level 3 spell twice and his level 4 spell three times, he loses 18 SP. Spell Points are recovered at a rate of your Wisdom rating per day.
Spells can only be chosen from your characters Power Category. I have divided the spells into separate Power Categories and listed the first 9 levels here.
Other levels will be coming soon.
