Rodan

First Rodan

Rodan is a giant, Pteranodon-like monster, and can fly at supersonic speeds. Wind shears from its passing causing great damage. When he escapes from his volcanic tomb, at first he battles with Godzilla,but then he joines forces twice with Godzilla to ward off King Ghidora.

Second Rodan

Rodan is a species of Pteranodon born on Adonoa Island in the Bering Sea, and mutates into Rodan after exposure to nuclear waste sites on the island. After being injured by Godzilla's atomic breath, Rodan mutates into Fire Rodan. He is capable of emmiting an atomic heat ray of his own. Thinking that the Godzillasaurus egg on Adonoa Island is his, he fights fiercely to defend it. Dying, he falls upon Godzilla's body and revives it.
