When?: JLA #1-4
What happened: A few days after the new JLA was formed, a space ship hovered above the white house. Superman was called to investigate, when he arrived, small eggs were launched that carried the Hyperclan. They went on T.V. and said they were going to save the world. They started executing criminals and they attacked the Justice League of America's orbiting base while Nuklon, Metamorpho, Obsidian and Ice Maiden were packing up for the new JLA. While escaping, Metamorpho formed a sphere shaped object to try to save the others. He became "inert" but everyone else was o.k.
The Hyperclan built stations all over the world. The JLA attacked them and all were captured, but one, Batman. Batman infultrated the main base and found out their secret, they were Martians. After Bat's defeated four of them, Superman eventually figured out that they were Martians. After making short work out of the Martians, the JLA discovered that they had ships surrounding Earth. The JLA went on T.V. and told every one how to defeat the Martians. Martian Manhunter mind wiped all the Martians and gave them jobs close to fire so they would never remeber what happened.
