Cyrus was once a Guardia Knight. In fact, he was captain of the guards. He upholded this title well and true. After a while of being guard captain, Cyrus set out to search for the Masamune and the Hero's Medal. With Glenn by his side, he found both of these. Then, as Magus rose to power, Cyrus thought it worthwhile to destroy Magus. Ozzie, Magus, Glenn, and Cyrus fought atop Denadoro Peak. In a heated test of blows, Cyrus's sword, the Masamune, snapped in half. Cyrus desperatly attempted to attack Magus, who thoroughly killed him. Glenn was transformed into a frog by Magus' magic, also. After the battle, Glenn went to a tomb in Choras to deposit Cyrus' restless remains.
