First Encounters

A Review of the Webpage

What has over 50,000 visitors and combines surrealism with state of the art computer graphics? The answer is First Encounters. This web page welcomes any weary eye with a variety of graphics united under a magical theme. Some of these themes attract science fictions lovers, some exist for the Goth movement, and others exist as surreal art forms. Whatever the occasion, First Encounters will strive to entertain any one who has an appreciation for digital art.

Duncan Long, the creator of this cyber realm, seeks out those who will be amused, amazed or perhaps terrified by his work. The place is user friendly those who want to send 3D Adventure E cards and for fae lovers new images of old mythological creatures are showcased under the 'fantasy' section of his gallery. "The Leprechaun and Her Treasure" is a good example. Being rich in green hues it invites anyone who believes in the wealth the creature possessed. But if Leprechauns aren't what interests the surfer, pictures of Orpheus and the Gorgon Medusa are great to take a look at.

In essence the artist Duncan Long has worked hard to create a friendly site available for art fans of many genres to relax and take a look at his graphics. I have spent a lot of time there myself and found it to be enchanting and Mr. Long to be courteous and kind whenever contacted about his work. The URL is http://www.kansas.net/~duncan/Artpage/ and is just waiting for you to stop by! It's an amazing place for anyone to explore.
