Balance:
The main character fault of the dogs is their constant worrying and self-doubting natures. A certain amount of stress or anxiety can be useful as it helps motivate the dog, who lacks motivation. But dogs can worry to the extent that it stops them doing anything useful. This interferes with their ability to lead happy and productive lives. Anxious of the future and regretful of the past, dogs need to learn how to live in the present. If they can take each day as it comes, dogs will find that their anxieties lessen. They need to reach a balance between necessary and useful worrying and self-defeating anxiety.
