Dark Angel: Harbor Lights

Max is shot and taken to a hospital, where she is quarantined when they discover the genetic virus inside her. However, when she is found not to be contagious, the CDC becomes interested while White and Logan battle to be the first to get to her.

There's nothing fundamentally wrong with this episode apart from its low level of action. Max spends most of her time in a hospital bed while attempts are made to stop anything about her becoming known by the CDC or the hospital staff. It basically becomes a two-way fight between the enhanced White and the technical wizardry of Logan, who does Max proud with some impressive hacking in this story.

We don't really learn anything more about White or his agenda, the Max/Logan relationship doesn't change dramatically for the better by the end of this episode, none of the other cast get a look in bar a brief bit of Original Cindy, there's no subplots and in the end White is beaten fairly easily. For a biologically superior human, he should at least be able to pick off Max and Logan in a helicopter with ease.

All the episode really accomplishes is some good fight sequences and the introduction of another agency into the list of people who are after Max. And that's not really enough, especially as the CDC hardly seem anywhere near as threatening as White's group.
