A device that can tell the Taelons how to synthesize core energy is stolen, and Augur is determined to uncover its secrets in order to hold the Taelons to ransom.
It's the return of Augur, but somehow he's not much more effective than he has been in the past, having to rely on Street for intelligence and getting captured by Sandoval with no trouble at all, particularly stupid when you consider how long he's been evading them for.
Essentially a runaround of an episode, Keys to the Kingdom not only kills the prospect of Liam and Zo'or finding out new things about the Taelons from Ma'el's device, a plot that looked rather interesting when it was first introduced, but it also introduces Street as being a genius-level computer expert, whose intellect can expand far beyond that of other humans. It's a ridiculous thing to try to make us believe, and it all seems to be to set things up for the next episode, where she is implanted by a surveillance camera. Quite what Sandoval hopes to achieve is anyone's guess.
Liam and Renee have little to do except rescue responsibilities once again, Liam having to deal with irritating Italian Vera Rizzori once again, who seems determined to get him into her bed. It's back to normal really, as the gradually building arcs set up by the last few episodes are stopped in order to bring us this rather uninspired search, rescue and chase. Not really what the show needs right now.
