Cain Marko, evil stepbrother of the X-Men's leader, Professor X, long harbored a secret hatred for his more distinguished sibling. Then, one fateful day, he acquired the power to strike back at Xavier when he discovered the mystic gem of Cyttorak and was transformed by its awesome magical energies into a human juggernaut. Superhumanly strong and virtually unstoppable, his only weakness seems to lie in his vulnerability to pshychic attack when his protective helmet is removed.

He continuously plagues the X-Men and his brother Professor X, destroying everything in his path. Not too long ago, the Juggernaut was brought low, suffering a serious blow to his pride, by Onslaught, Professor X's dark side. This was his first brush with real fear, or belief of superiority as far as the X-Men had ever seen. With Onslaught vanquished, Juggernaut has recently returned to the X-Mansion, claiming it his property in light of his brothers disappearance. Wolverine and Storm turned him away, denying his claim, and he has disappeared again for the moment, sure to return when the X-Men least expect it.
