Zephyr Supporters Hall of Fame

You may wonder about this Hall of Fame on my motorcylce web page. Well, it was born out of a situation when I urgently needed some spareparts for the Zeph.

I asked a friend to go shopping for me and to bring the stuff over to Bali, where we were supposed to meet . Knowing about the hassle to run around in Singapore with a print out of sparepart numbers for a 10 year old Kawa, I promised him to that he will be on my Supporters Hall of Fame list, if he succeeds. (OK, I had thrown in a set of Metzeler ZE4 tyres, which I needed as well at that time).

Yes, he made it!

And he has created a new section on my web site, dedicated to all the people who make it possible to ride a unspecific and unusual motorcycle in Indonesia, for which you can't get any of the ormally available support.

Thomas He managed to shop for a new chain and sprocket set and a new set of tyres when I desperately needed the spares to prepare the bike for a long Java tour. All done on his way to the airport, and he added the spares and tyres to his normal luggage, which was already consisiting of a Mandoline, a Guitar, a set of Drums and a Piano (I'm not sure about the piano)?. Was there some diving gear as well? Of course, there was a computer.

IMBI Ikatan Motor Besar Indonesia: this is the organization which makes it all happen. If you want to ride a 'big bike' in Indonesia which is not classified as a Classic Bike, you must be a member of IMBI.
