Here you sit in cap and gown
Waiting for tassel to turn
Thinking that you know it all
That everything’s been learned

You know a lot that much is true
I hope I’ve taught you well
Will the lessons be remembered
Time will surely tell

Get this one thing, I implore
You have not reached the end
Your life has not been set in stone
You’ve only reached a bend

Mistakes you’ve made can be undone
Your life can still be changed
What others think is not concrete
First impressions can be attained

Another thing to keep in mind
As you journey on your way
Don’t neglect your time with God
Give Him a part of each day

Make time to memorize His Word
Though it’s no longer required
For if you don’t you soon will be
Stuck in sin’s filthy mire

Satan will attack as you commence
To find your place in life
Resist him now and trust God to help
Through the discord and the strife

I pray that God will lead you
In the way that He has planned
Then give you strength to follow
And courage to take a stand

Each one of you’s enriched my life
Grown near and dear to my heart
Bittersweet tears come easily
As now our paths must part

So I reluctantly cut the cord
And drop quickly to my knees
Begging the Father to keep you safe

Jenny 6-8-03 Jenny, Congratulations Every season has its purpose Never give in to Satan’s temptations Nobody loves you like the Father in Heaven Implore Him to lead you to His perfect will Forgive and forget and then call it even Endeavor to be all that you can be Reaching always for that distant star	Christina 6-13-03 Christina, Congratulations Hand your burdens to the Lord Remember them no more Incline your heart to wait on Him So on eagle’s wings you’ll soar Though temptations block your way Insist that Satan flee Never give in and keep on course Allow God’s grace to set you free
