Dimity was taken to hospital at 2am after her waters broke (and she had ironed her dress to wear). Paul had just got to sleep after a late night computer game session having been told not to expect any action for a week. Labour was induced at 9am and proceeded rapidly. As tough and determined as Dimity is, she was sure that she would not have an epidural, but she was desperately begging to have it by about 1pm (and didn't even feel as she was given it). After this things got pretty casual, and at 9:22 pm on 2nd August 2003, Dimity, with a flannel over her head (ostrich in the sand attitude), gave birth to a baby girl.
