However, many times people use "natural" to mean morally good. I haven't quite figured this out, because nature does not seem a good place to learn moral behavior. "Devouring the weak" does not seem to be the right kind of philosophy for a civilization, but it abounds in nature.

     Yet, the religious try to say that homosexuality goes against nature and that makes it "wrong". My first argument would be that just because something is contrary to nature, doesn't make it morally wrong. Nothing could be more artificial than the human world, but that does not make it evil.

     But even granting that something outside of nature is evil, that would not apply to homosexuality because it is a very natural phenomena. All cultures of all ages have had people who engaged in same-sex acts. Even the animals show same-sex behavior. Note the following quotes:

     "the sexual acts which are demonstrably part of the phylogenetic heritage of any species cannot be classified as acts contrary to nature, biologically unnatural, abnormal, or perverse." - The Kinsey Report, 1949, p. 24.
