Employment Opportunities with Androscoggin Head Start & Child Care

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing a comprehensive, quality, developmentally appropriate program with emphasis on the social and emotional development of infants and toddlers.

TEACHER for preschool program:
Minimum of Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education required. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and get down on the floor with children for floor time activities. Must have excellent communication and problem solving skills, flexibility and willingness to work as a team member. Preference will be given candidates with experience as a preschool teacher.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing a comprehensive, quality, developmentally appropriate program to children and families enrolled in Androscoggin Head Start and Child Care programs.

TEACHER ASSISTANT: 30-40 hours
Pre-school program. High school diploma required. Preference will be given candidates with Early Childhood Educarion or experience. Benefits included. Lewiston location.

FAMILY SERVICE ADVOCATE: 30 hours a week/52 weeks per year.
Minimum of Associate's Degree in Social Services, Early Childhood Education or related field required. Responsible for the delivery of health, nutrition, social services and mental health standards to a caseload of family in Early Head Start. Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license and proof of insurance required.

JANITOR: 15 hours a week/52 weeks per year.
Lewiston/Auburn location. Prior janitorial experience preferred. Must be able to pass background checks. Benefits: Sick leave, Vacation and Holiday pay.
