Spark Award  
given to two
members

President Dave Hyde presented Doris Koressel, ATM, and Kathryn DeBano-Rhodes, CTM, with a "spark pin" (above) in recognition of their enthusiastic participation in club meetings.

The pins were presented to the club by District Governor Terri Sparks, DTM, to honor members each month who add spark to the club, its meetings, and the membership.

The Spark Awards rotate each month. Doris and Kathryn will get to wear the pins at all November meetings.

Valley Open House/Reunion
An Open House/Reunion has been scheduled for January according to Educational VP Irene Majava, CTM. Details will be forth coming soon..

Strange fact: There is no connection between what a person knows and the time it takes to tell it.


According to Dan, he went to a place where the fish area always biting: San Carlos Bay on the Sea of Cortez. That is where he caught his "big one." It was the beginning of a fish-fish story. However, Dan did accomplish the "show what you mean" manual objective.

Party

Robert Zakian will host this year's Christmas Party at his new home on Friday, December 13, 7 p.m. Una Smith, Chairperson of the event, will have a map available. Please see her also for particulars on pot luck sign-up.


 
Paddy achieves
CTM
   

Paddy Ramsay completed the basic manual when she presented her tenth speech on October 10. Last week she said she had received the certificate from world headquarters.

Congratulations Paddy!

(Her next step to complete the process is to bring the certificate to a club meeting. It can then be formally presented to her by the Educational Vice President, Irene Majava, CTM.)
