About six years ago I was surfing the web, or reading the news groups as people did back then. Thats when I discovered genealogy on the internet. I wasn't sure how many people were on the net at the time, but I thought maybe someone knew something about my family name. I quickly discovered a hundred year old book on the descendents of Daniel Forbush. I proceeded to get a copy of the book from a historical library. I sent a copy of the book to my parents, although I couldn't find the direct connection to Daniel.
A few years passed, and my father retired. Curious about our ancestry and having time on his hands my father began to dig into our family history. Suddenly, after some research and a trip to New England my father had connected our family back to Daniel Forbush. It is almost 400 years of history.
Now, with the internet, even more information can be had with a click of the mouse.
