These photos are from February 23rd and 24th, 2001. Sebastion is performing his "Friday Happening" where he wrote and sang a song about Zanzabar. Kelsey is performing at a Dance Competition.
On Friday Sebastian performed a song he wrote in front of his class for an assignment called "Friday Happening."
The idea behind this assignment is that you need to take some object and create something out of it and present
it in front of the class. For the most part the kids ussually write a story about an art project.
The object for this weeks Friday happening was a margerine tub. Sebastian heard a song on the radio accompianed
by a story of how the person wrote the song. Based on this idea Sebastian wrote a song about Zanzabar, an island
off the coast of Africa. Then, he made dirt by grinding up oreo cookies and gummi worms and put them in a margerine
tub, saying it was dirt from Zanzabar.
On Saturday Kelsey performed her dance routines in a dance competition. Kelsey's trio got second place in both
dances. The first dance uses the song from Grease, "We Go Together" The second dance is the Nat King
Cole's "L.O.V.E"
