The BEST of Athens

      Athens Site Critique Service

      The CLs on the Athens Site Critique Team would be happy to look over your Athens website to offer suggestions for improvement. If you do not hear from us within 24 hours [saying we have received the request - we do not get the critiques done that fast!], please write again - occasionally an email message gets lost, or a typo is made in the email address part of the form.

      We use the Website Design Tips as our guidelines in offering suggestions for improvement. In many cases, these will involve matters of taste, so you are free to ignore any of our advice. The purpose of the site critique is to help you:

        * attract more visitors to your site
        * encourage repeat visitors
        * get your site in shape to win awards

      Note: We only critique Athens websites. And we do not guarantee that we can give you enough advice that your site will eventually win a particular award. An E-mail address MUST be in the comments section of the form.

      What you will get:

      • check for broken links and images, even on the pages we do not visit. We use NetMechanic to do this, and you can use this free utility yourself. Normally we do checks of 20 pages of your site.
      • about a page of comments and suggestions, based on a visit to 3-6 pages of the site. If you want specific pages visited, list them in the comments box on the form.
      • the award gif shown below
      • if your site qualifies, nomination for Pride of the Pantheon or Best of Athens

      Sometimes results arrive very quickly, but there are also times when it takes three weeks for you to get your results. Please be patient. After you have your results, if you have questions about the critique or how to implement one of the suggestions, you are encouraged to ask the team member who visited your site. Please wait a month or two before asking for a second site critique.

      To request a critique of your Athens website, fill out the Site Critique Request Form. All Athens websites that go through the site critique process are entitled to display the following award gif.
