there are times in my life
when i am totally drained of energy
and i want so much to give up.
there are times when it doesn't matter
how much my friends are there for me
and it doesn't matter any more
that i am doing something i believe in
...there are times.
there are times when i seem unable to go on
and there are times when i falter.
times sometimes seem too much effort
and times sometimes seem
to have no reason or purpose
...there are times.
of these times i hide away.
of these times i seclude and find shelter.
in these times i go away to be alone.
in my life i have had many such times as these.
i will have many more.
i am in these times now
and i see a mist ahead
which only i seem to know
...there are times.
in my heart and in my desire
i long to cross the other side
and i long to be free of it.
i am tired and i need to go on
and in my dreams i know i will go on.
there are times when i wish i were not so determined
and i wish i was not needed
yet i am, and there are times
when i would trade my existence for rest
...there are times.
to be free and to be at peace within
...there are times when i would lie down
and there are times when i would give in to my exhaustion
and there are times when i would give up
...and i know there are times.
i would do all this at times
and i would have to do it no more.
i would give up all that i have struggled for
and i would lay down to never go on.
...there are times.
i have seen these times
and i have seen times as these go on.
i have seen many such times
and i have felt many times that the fight has left me
and i know there are times when i will feel this again
and there are times
when i just know there will be such times
...and i know they're our times.
i have seen these times
and i have felt these times
and i have always felt alone in these times
and i know there will be many such times.
i will see the mist
and i will face the shadows
and i know they will pass
...because i know they're our times.
in my heart and in my desire i long to cross the other side
and i long to be free.
i am tired and yet i am going on.
my dreams will make me go on
and i am determined
and i will exist knowing they're our times.
there are times when i am totally drained of energy
and there are times when i am ready to give up
and at times it Does matter
that my friends are there for me
and it Does matter that i am doing something i believe in,
and it’s then that i know
...they’re Our times.
it’s then that i know that my exhaustion
and my struggle needs to go on
and it’s then that i know the mist will clear
and it’s then i know that you will be on the other side
and it’s then i know they’re our times.
it’s then i know that there are times when you love me
and i know it’s then that they’re our times,
and in those times, in that mist, and in that confusion,
i will know that things have always been this way
for there are times when they’re our times.
