Yes! I am nuts! Just ask the squirrels on my background!

I have been a stay-at-home-dad on and off for over thirteen
years.
I enjoy staying home with the kids. I don't mind
doing laundry
and the dishes. Keeping up the house is no
easy chore.
I homeschooled our thirteen year
old, Chris. It's funny
what I
remember from when I was in school. Some of the
stuff seemed too
easy and other stuff extremely difficult.
But our Chris did
fantastic.
Now he's in a private
school!
We also have a four year old, Joey. And is he ever a
handful! We
sometimes wonder whether or not he will grow
up to be a stunt man
or an actor. He has the skills and
job qualifications for both.
We purchased a futon bed for
him and he just loves it. We have
four cats and two small
dogs. The cats
love to sleep in Joey's
room. They scatter themselves
gingerly around the room.
Joey is learning how to speak the
German language.
Makes for interesting conversations with
him.
Joey is also showing great progress with understanding
computers.
I'm even attempting to teach him HTML.
I was a Volunteer
Firefighter and EMT-B with St. Helens Rural Fire
District.
But now I teach Medic First Aid and CPR,
standards by EMP America.
In November '97, I became an
Instructor/Trainer for Basic first aid,
Pediatric First
Aid, Sports Medicine, and Bloodbourne Pathogens.
I am
no longer Nationally or State Certified as an EMT-B,
I went inactive last February.
I also teach CPR
standards by the American Heart Association.
I have been to
many fires and other EMS incidents.
Kind of like staying
home.((( Just kidding!)))
My wife and I are very proud
of
our boys. We love them dearly.
Currently my wife works
for a decent company. Thus allowing me
time to work on my
career as a Medic First Aid Instructor/Trainer.
If it
wasn't for her I wouldn't be able to pursue this career.
I love to cook. My wife and youngest son have to eat
certain foods and avoid others.
Makes for a challenge
when it comes time to make a meal for the
entire family.
But we all are eating healthier now.
I personally
identify with the comic strip character "ADAM".
Although
I'm not as bad as he is sometimes. He has a way
of looking at the world
with a different perspective than
your average male. I too, look
at the world in a different
perspective. Not always a good perspective,
but
non-the-less, a different one.
A long time ago my
brother told me (in different words) that I was
less than a
man. That comment was given to me based on the fact
that
my wife and I make decisions based on our discussions.
Including
any and all purchases. It didn't mean she had
the final say in what
we purchased, just that the
discussions came up with whether we
really needed to,
wanted to, or all ready had made the purchase. I
really
feel that my wife and I are doing the right thing both
with
the boys and with our lives. We are happy and
contented. (Most of
the time. But there are times when I
don't get what I want andI throw a
tantrum because I really wanted to get that expensive
program and she wouldn't let me, I could have made some really
neatwebsites with it, but NOOOOO she
said we couldn't aford it.
No matter what I said or how bad
I wanted it,
it didn't matter because we couldn't afford
it.)
((THIS IS ONLY A JOKE!))
((I HOPE MY WIFE TAKES
THIS JOKE IN THE MANNER IN WHICH IT WAS GIVEN, WITH TONGUE IN
CHEEK.))
Well I got the program after all!
I won the Developer's Edition of Microsoft's Office 97
as a door prize at a meeting my wife and I attended!

Full internet services!
Being a stay-at-home-dad means I run errands
including computer related stuff like using
scanners and other high-tech equipment,
Internet Arena has all that and more.
(They even let me bring my kids in there.)
(One day, when my four year old was younger,
he slept almost the whole time we were there.)
