Samuel Diamond's Update Page

This page is for keeping you updated as to how and what
I'm doing these days. This will be more organized and more
informative as time goes by. So many people have asked me
what my schedule is in regard to helping them and doing
things for them, including responding to all of their E-mail
letters. I thought an update page would be handy to have.
Here we are in October of 2007, in fact it's Halloween.

A lot has happened these last two years. My wife has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. On the 23rd of December of 2005, she was diagnosed with Metastasized cancer throughout her body. She was told at that diagnosis that she might only have two months to live. I am happy to report she is still with us and plans on keeping it that way for quite some time. This coming November 3rd, 2007, will be our 22nd year together.
Our sons are doing great in school. The youngest is finishing off middle school, and our oldest is beyond halfway to an Associates degree in Business, with straight "A's". He plans on taking his education a lot further.
He and I have been exploring 3D and its applications and uses. We have several things in the works, when they're ready, I'll post the information here as to where you can take a look at what we have been working on.
Last summer my mother and sister came out from Oregon. My Aunt who lives just north of us picked them up about halfway across the US and brought them all the way to the east coast. Then brought them down to our home and we had a great BBQ on our new deck we designed and built as a family.
NaNoWriMo 2007 starts tomorrow morning. That's where people write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. This will be my second year. I did it last year and typed out 61,000 words in 30 days. "The Evil Squirrel Empire" will have excerpts posted on this site within the next few weeks. Stay tuned for this years novel excerpts, "The Evil Squirrel Empire - On The Fritz".
I will try to update this more often, but with everything happening so fast, it's not always possible.

Here we are in 2005.

We now live in a wonderful neighborhood. Our youngest is doing quite well in his new school. The weather has been it's usual snow, sleet, rain, sunshine, and overcast, all in one day. LOL

The new year in our local theatre saw us into rerunning a play("Art of Dining" by Tina Howe) we did last year. We sold completely out last year. We spent many hours preparing for each rehearsal and each performance throughout the month of January and part of February, but it was all worth it. We sold out every weekend this year. And on the last night we accidentally sold 17 seats over(answering machine foul-up). We scraped up enough chairs for people to sit and see this great show. Some of the best actors, actress', tech people, designers, directors, and support crew I've ever had the pleasure of working with were on this show. We had real hot gourmet food on the set for the actors. The audience could not only see it, but they could smell it as well. Drooling was acceptable during the performance of this show. LOL

UPDATES:

Most Current Update:
"October 29, 2004"

A lot has happened since my last update.
To make a long story short... I now live in Richmond, Virginia.
(that's 3000 miles from where we used to live)

Job status had sent my wife 3000 miles from us for nearly 10 months. After spending 19 years being married to her, the physical separation was intolerable. We finally decided to just move the family to where she was. I'll post the story about that move later on next month. My family is together again and we are in an apartment instead of a house. We have a family dog now, his name is Nibbles. He's a purebred 3 year old Papillion. My oldest son lives with us and is doing very well with his own business. My youngest is an accomplished gymnast and is doing awesome academically.

I'm enjoying Virginia and the east coast, with it's hurricanes, lightning storms, an earthquake, and numerous other fun stuff(mostly related to weather as you can see.) It's a laugh a minute out here.

I'm in the process of updating my website. It desparately needs it. Some pages are almost 8 years old without anything being updated on them. sheesh! There well be a lot of new content, including a section devoted to Nibbles, another section will hi-light the weather out here in Virginia, I'll be putting up more pictures now that I have found my digital camera that's been in storage for the last two years, I will also be posting information about the theaters in the area(we volunteer at a local one), I'll devote some space and time to promoting the state of Virginia and it's many wonderful aspects, and many more ideas will fill up this web site, stay tuned.

I lost all of my email. BUT NOT THIS TIME!
I managed to make backups this time around.
I will get your banners sent off to you as

Sorry about these inconveniences.
