Samuel Diamond is a private eye from the 1920's. He is a
character in my mystery novels. I have been writing those
for over five years now. My first novel, will hopefully
be published sometime in the near future. Samuel is an
extension
of me. People who see Samuel, see me; a short, blonde haired,
(dormant)muscled, outgoing kind of guy.
Samuel Diamond was not real good at his job at first. But
now he makes things fall into place. A man of action. He
believes in love at first sight. He has a gal whom he would
like to think of as his doll. This really isn't far from Sam's
reality.
She likes him, but is still unsure of his "private eye
routine".
(I ,on the other hand, am happily married and have two wonderful
boys.)
Sammy, as his friends call him, is a tough all around man of
the
times. He was born in 1900, and grew up in a large city. As a
teenager during the war he became tolerant of death. Or so he
thought.
The war wasn't the only thing that brought this on. But that's
in
my novel and I wouldn't want to give that away. Suffice it to
say,
Sammy became a private eye quite by accident. But there he is,
an
empty gun slinging, antidrinking, careless and clumsy, in the
right
place at the right time, private eye!
